1956
Wadi El Nile a.k.a. WEN was originally established during 1956 by its founder Eng. Bedros Raphael Shinouda. It was one of the first Egyptian companies that dealt with construction & earthmoving machines. Initially WEN started out as a small workshop located in the heart of Downtown Cairo, and was only producing bolts & nuts, and certain parts using the lathe with minimum importing of spare parts. WEN also used to offer services such as road construction, runways, land/road repairs as the machines were very limited.
WEN served customers from all over Egypt including but not limited to Cairo, Suez Canal, Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh. What kept our customers loyal to us, was and still is our unmatched pricing for spare parts.
The years went by and Mr.Bedros's sons started taking an interest within the workfield, which helped WEN blossom into what it is today.
As the construction machines starting increasing, so did the importation sector at WEN. What always made WEN unique was the fact that all the customer would always find all the spare parts they needed.

1981
As the second generation of the Bedros family took over, Cairo's infrastructure was booming, which led to an increase in the number of construction machines.
Our beloved role model Eng. Makram Bedros saw the great potential that WEN had, and seized every opportunity. Mr. Makram is the main man behind all that WEN has become today because of his continuous effort, sleepless nights, and talent for always finding new customers and initiating new projects.
Mr.Makram not only lived to work, he also loved to teach everyone that crossed his path things that no School or University will ever teach. He did so with such passion, that many of the people that knew him started their own companies, some of which are leading within their field today.
Following the second generation, as Mr.Makram's descendants started taking over, WEN still maintained its prestige and is still the leading name with 3 branches spread across Egypt. Today this company is the largest multi-brand supplier for replacement spare parts of Earthmoving machines in Cairo, Egypt.
